A New Way To Live
A Fun, Fun Way To Enjoy Life
Have you ever felt so down and depressed even whe you're not supposed to feel gloomy. It could be the weather or just waking up on the other side of the bed.
Well, here are ways on how to cope with those blues----
1. For mothers who have married sons: Don't find faults from your daughters-inlaw. This include bragging about how good you are in the kitchen (baking pies and pastries and all!) and how good you are in making the home clean and tidy! Don't ever ever make your sons choose you and cast away the love of his life! Hey, we all know that later on age will catch on you. And you will have weaker bones and slower reflex. Most of all, 'will grow weak as you get older every year. We met a mother with a married son, who has developed an anxiety over the years. It started when she started to pick on her son's wife.
As a friend of ours always remind us about relationship with sons and daughters-inlaw, it's far better that you befriend them. Treasure their friendship and build a lasting relationship. Always remember, you're not losing a son, but gaining a daughter as well.
As much as you want to be your son's only queen in his life, believe that his world does not revolve around you all the time. He will eventually realized that he needs somebody to be with as he goes with his life, too!
2. Bond with your pet.
Studies show that bonding with your pet relieves stress.
3. Attend a college concert.
Nothing beats the energy of a huge crowd!
4. Don't forget to invite a friend.
5. Teach a kid.
If you're free, why not tutor a kid or help with his school assignments. That will bring a welcome smile on his face!
6. Pick up a Hobby
Pick up a hobby like photography. Your goal is to see and take photos of wonderful things that you see everyday. Besides, it's another excuse to feel the sunshine outside. Remember, sunshine drives the blues away!
7. Go into sports!
Sports like bicycling not just help boosts your stamina, but also improves your health! Go cycling with your friends on weekends or any time that you can accommodate this wonderful activity. Be sociable. Invite your friend's friends to join and don't assign any particular age that you will accept in your group - this broadens your circle of friends, of course.
By the way, if you belong to a cycling group, please do inform me. We have an upcoming activity for cycling enthusiasts this coming 2014 which might interest you and your friends.
8. Go malling!
Nothing beats window-shopping at your favorite mall. Checking out prices and products that you can purchase on your next mall visit takes away the boredom.
9. Try people watching

A view outside Trinoma Mall at the Supermarket side
A lot of malls that have benches in and out of the area can offer a free people-watching activity and seats while waiting for a ride or company. Waiting for road traffic to ease and turn heavy to light as well as avoiding the rush hour eases possible tension and strain from lost time and irritating commuters.
A popular site in Cubao, Quezon City - the lighted giant Christmas tree at Gateway Mall in Araneta Center
During the holiday season, Araneta Center becomes a site to behold when their giant Christmas tree is lighted and adorned with lovely LED lights that "dances" to the beat of a popular Christmas tune! I have seen a lot of local and foreign visitors flocked the place to watch and enjoy local street food (street food vendors are set up along the sides of Araneta Center). Sometimes, it's impossible to get a seat since tables are never empty.
10. Plant a tree!
This way you just don't help yourself, but your environment, too! Local universities do this more than four (4) times a year inviting volunteer students to plant trees in nearby municipalities where there are areas where trees can be planted. Local villagers are assigned to be godparents of these planted trees to make sure that they grow to a full grown tree in a year or two. If this is not possible, why not make a living wall?! A wall where indoor plants can be planted in small pot or containers and hung on the wall. The more potted plants you hang, the more beautiful your living wall will be! Check out your local nursery for suitable plants for your living wall. What a way to help the environment !
Right now, I'm so wishing to have a cherry blossom tree of my own. My friend told me that our university ordered a lot from Japan just last month. So, I will be seeing cherry blossoms next year in our campus come April or July, I guess! Oh, how envious at that thought of students walking under the cherry blossoms, I will be!
