My Bag Essentials

My Bag Essentials

When I'm not attending appointments or meetings like just running an errand, I have these staples with me: my hanky, a pack of facial tissues, a small bottle of alcohol or alcogel, wallet with cards (business cards included), a small coin purse for those loose coins, my phone/s, my keys to the house and an umbrella for any changes in weather (It's always wise to have one especially if you're in a tropical country). I usually don't carry a makeup kit with me since most of the time I won't have any time to re-touch my face when I'm changing routes and cars.
When on a weekend get-away, I always try to bring a kit with me, but won't be able to use them since my friends and I are always on the go the moment you wake the next weekend morning.
As a rule, I will bring a makeup kit only when I have to spend three (3) or more days far from home. Besides, how can you have touch-ups when most of your girlfriends are not that keen on having their face made up during weekends. Everybody's more concerned on where and what to eat during a brief weekend date. This also applies on a regular office day. I'll just bring a compact powder and a lipstick only when needed. I just make sure that my face and that the makeup I put on before I leave for the office will last the whole day. For me, to avoid the mess - it's not advisable to bring a lot, since make-up like pressed powder, eyeshadow and blush-on can break or accidentally slip out of your hands and bag while doing your touch-ups or while you're in transit. And it's not a nice sight when you see them break before your eyes and you can't do anything to put them back together again!
For a date - a lipstick,  compact powder,  a small bottle of cologne and some mints to freshen your breath will do. Anyway, you will have enough time to go to the powder room to have your re-touching, right?
