Amazing Benefits of Stretching

It's been raining almost everyday and you really have no time getting that massage. You're also faced with the daunting challenge of busting the negative effects of stress on your body, but has no other alternative but stay home. Added to that, the occasional body aches that ladies and gentlemen experience from the daily grind. Don't lose hope, these simple steps of body stretching may be the perfect answer to relieve those stressed bodies of yours!

Step One: Stand Up

Try standing up and raise your arms on top of your head. Straighten your posture. Feet apart and flat on the floor. Maintain a comfortable standing position while your arms are raised. Breathe. Then, try to push an imaginary ceiling. This automatically relieves your body from any "imaginary" weight that weighs you down. Do this five to ten times.

Step Two: Lower Your Arms At Shoulder's Level

Slowly, lower your arms down at shoulder level.Then, bring them towards your back until your hands grasp each other. While grasping, squeeze your arms at your side. You can also tuck your tummy while doing this. Feel the squeeze from your shoulders. Repeat ten times.

Step Three: Squeeze Arms While Sitting

On a chair, you can squeeze your arms while your hands grasp each other. Straighten your back. Both feet should be flat on the floor while you squeeze. You can do this, five to ten times.

Step Four: Lie Down

Best if you do this on a flat wooden floor or wooden or bamboo mat (available in most home department stores). Lie flat on your back. Move your arms on top of your head and press your whole body on the floor. Stretch your legs downward as if you're pushing something down the floor. Squeeze your tummy while you bring your arms toward shoulder level. Don't forget to breathe. Repeat stretching ten times.

TIP:

Do the stretches slowly while you feel the tension of your muscles.You can also hold onto a bath towel while you're raising your arms above your head.
