A Day Before New Year's Eve in Bocaue, Bulacan

A Glimpse of Bocaue, Bulacan: Philippines Fireworks Capital        A h, this was not exactly the site in Bocaue as we waited for hours inside our car (we're staying in a nearby town, Sta. Maria, Bulacan and to get out from Bulacan, you have to travel via NLEX (North Luzon Expressway) to reach Manila). It was bumper-to-bumper everyday when you drive along the by-pass road to Gov. Halili Ave. and towards the tollgate as you leave the Bulacan area. This was the time when our service vehicle moved along the road leading to NLEX and the stores which are located before you reach the NLEX tollgates.  People have started to flock the stores that sell fireworks; from the ordinary "lucis" or "pailaw" to the colorful fireworks!      It's been 2 1/2 hours to reach the Bocaue-NLEX tollgate, so we decided not to push through with our date and cancelled. National Geographic's Scam City Feedback

S cam City on Prague      A fter watching National Geographic's Scam City's episode on Prague, I have now decided that I am now removing Prague as a tourist destination in the future for my future travels! In essence, it's a place where tourists are not safe.      If you've been "scammed" or robbed, the police authorities cannot help you as the locals say that the police authorities just make themselves visible but not to the point of protecting any tourist that has been harmed by locals even if you make a complain! Oh, it really sucks when you find that nobody can really help you in a foreign country! Thinking that Prague can only offer its country's architecture and that's it, nothing more.      Just like in any corrupt country, the taxi drivers especially from the Euro and AAA taxis have a way of robbing tourists of their monies.
